Supplement Super Hero Marketing

The bodybuilders that grace the pages of the popular magazines seem too big to be real, and this is exactly what the young male consumer is interested in.
Young guys grow up with images if super hero’s who are literally larger than life and even though we know we can’t actually be as big as the incredible hulk some guys wouldn’t mind trying!
This desire to be something special and larger than life is what drives many young guys to steroid use and wasting lots of money on useless supplements with the promise of steroid like muscle gains.
In this podcast we’ll discuss the false image that guys have when it comes to muscle gaining goals and how the supplement industry capitalizes on this dream of being super hero like.
Ladies this is a good one to listen to because you’ll learn some of the insecurities and body image issues men have starting from a very young age…you’re not the only ones chasing an unrealistic ideal. In fact, you could make the argument that guys are chasing an even more unrealistic ideal that can only be created through cartoons and computer generated graphics.

you sounded pretty even on this particular podcast guys. Dunno if that’s JB’s post-pro or luck or … ?
I have better luck with phone lines than Skype, personally.

There’s a setting in Windows Sound Options called microphone boost on most computers that should boost the sound. Usually achieved by right-clicking the speaker in lower right and finding advanced options for microphone in there and clicking microphone boost. it boosts the sound 10 decibels usually.

Have you guys thought of recording on two separate tracks, if one of you is on a Mac. http://www.ecamm.com/mac/callrecorder/ Calls are even recorded with each side of the conversation on separate sound tracks, which makes for easy editing. Just lower John’s voice or raise Brad’s in post. That might help.

I was watching Troy the other night with Brad Pitt. in the beginning scene he fights this absolutely huge dude, he had to be 7 foot tall or something and jacked beyond belief. whether it was CGI modified or not he looked pretty superhuman. I’d say he’s the only person I could see playing a superhero/supervillain and look convincing lol. that and the guy who plays Juggernaut in X-Men.

@Josh B
The guy in Troy IS 7 feet tall and he was a former wrestler. However, he is so humongous, he is either a genetic freak or on steroids.

Agreed, he had to be taking cattle hormones to be that huge in real life.
And that’s one hell of a suit they put on Vinnie to make him that huge lol.
