Mini Wheats! lol. Kellogg's makes them, btw. :) I didn't have them until I was an adult. Wow, and you guys might have loved this: I was dating a theatre manager years ago and often there were promotions with food companies giving out free samples to movie patrons. For a few weeks the theatre was giving out free single serving boxes of Mini Wheats to anyone leaving a movie. There were SO many left over that staff took them and I ended up with a few CASES of them! I'd often eat them right from the package, no milk. I didn't gain weight on them, I factored them into my daily calories. Funny, now I can't eat gluten or dairy at all unless I want to get really sick, but it's fun to think of those Mini Wheats. They did taste good.

Great, this post is going to make Kellogg's happy, isn't it? :)

I'm with you, Brad, about the lower echelon fast foods. More like fast non-foods. :)

I don't know about Mini Wheats, but there are foods that have definitely gotten smaller. This is a strange little story, but a few years ago on Conan O'Brien's show, he had a guest who pulled out an old Cadbury Creme Egg that he had kept in his freezer for years, and he did a side-by-side comparison with a newer one, and the newer one was smaller.

I'm pretty sure that Reese's PB Cups are smaller. I can't prove it, but I know it's true! lol. I guess they're compensating with the Big Cups. Those are good.

I think they're shrinking the wrong foods. PB cups weren't too big, Cadbury eggs weren't too big, Mini Wheats weren't too big. If they're going to make things smaller, they should start with the things that are actually too big, like fast food burgers and Blizzards/ shakes. I admit it, I like Whoppers, even if they're not real food. lol. I would like a 250-300 calorie Whopper, Oreo Blizzard, etc.
