False Body Image

The pages of health and fitness magazines and websites are typically graced with images of larger than life bodybuilders and impossibly perfect models.
But can you really trust what you see.
Most professional athletes, fitness models, bodybuilders start of with superior genetics to make it to the top of their respective field. But it doesn’t stop there.
The images you see are typically shot by a professional photographer and then touched up and worked on for hours by a professional editor before it ever makes it to print.
The point is you can’t use an image in a magazine as a goal for your body.
If you’re looking to make a change in the look of your body you can only compare yourself with yourself.
In todays podcast we’ll discuss the various things a model will do to get ready for a photoshoot and why it’s not a realistic ideal for any of us to be shooting for, unless of course we’re prepared to do exactly as the models have.

I googled bodybuilder off season pics and found this link:

I see LOTS of guys at the gym that look just like this. Big, but fat fat fat. I can’t imagine all the drugs he must have had to take to get ready for competitions

Most of the sites where they promise results in 6 weeks or less they photoshop them self with hours. When you see them in real life they look pretty much average.

What about False Body Image?…
The images you see of fitness models are usually heavily edited and taken by professional photographers. This is why they’re not a good ideal to shoot for….

She looks much better in the before pick, but I get your point.
