Also, have you looked at any the current research on &quot;extreme responders&quot; in regard to muscle hypertrophy?  Some very interesting stuff.

However, I think we can agree that what’s most important is HOW we can apply all this to our workouts and optimize muscle growth. Have you guys come up with anything or is this still all building up to that eventual podcast? I know a lot of this is theorycrafting, but the anabolic continuum seems pretty damn reasonable to assume is true (if not already proven). I mean, doesn’t everyone go through ups and downs with muscle gains?

Or that, everyone will respond to resistance training to some extent (largely controlled by genetics) and it&#039;s just a matter of finding out where you are on this continuum and designing your workout accordingly?  Second, how in the hell do you suppose you&#039;re going to figure all this out?? lol.</description>

Up to this point those two counterexamples made me very skeptical of some of the things you were saying about protein and working out.

I know you guys are focused on the right side of the continuum, what kind of workout and rest schedule do you recommend for someone who is all the way on the left side of the curve? I was in heart failure for many years and the result was a massive loss in muscle loss so I&#039;m starting at nearly zero.</description>
